Some of the brands I've tried are: Elizabeth Arden, MAC, Aveeno, Estee Lauder and Clarins. These are all generally good face creams, but I needed more hydration. HYDRATION, HYDRATION, HYDRATION! For myself, this could only be done by using a rich face cream that would make my skin feeling soft and quenched!
So, on to the good stuff. If you have thirst quenching skin like me, which I hope you don't, then look into trying the following recommended moisturizers:
1. NARS- Potent EFA Cream 50ml $90.00
This cream works with the essential fatty acids in the skin, as well as Omega 3's, to repair and nourish the skin cells from deep within. Pretty much, the cream increases the skin's intake of hydration. This skin also works as an anti-aging formula, that works on the elasticity in the skin. It lasts at least 6 months depending on how much you use it. A plus to this fantastic product, is it can also be used under the eyes as an under eye cream! How awesome is that? 2 in 1- Hell yeah! The design of the product is that of a pump to eliminate or prevent contamination of active ingredients in this miracle cream.
2. Creme de la Mer ~60ml $290.00
Surprisingly this cream was created by a NASA scientist who had severe burns on his face that needed something that would repair his skin. I know- it's pricey, but if you've got the money-than do it! It's only pricey because the process of making such a cream is time consuming. This cream is phenomenal! It blends ingredients, like sea kelp (also in the NARS-listed above), eucalyptus oil, numerous vitamins and minerals. This cream is very rich and some may find it feeling a bit oily. It takes about 10-15 minutes for it be absorbed by the skin. But like I said, for dry skins- it does the duty, at a high price! Honestly, my skin felt like silk after using this and nothing has come close to this beauty secret!
3. Shiseido- White Lucent Brightening Protective Moisturizing Cream 50ml $54.50
This cream is not as thick as the others, but is still rich and nourishing for dry skins. It works to fight against environmental stressors, such as UV rays, air pollution, and dryness. It also includes ingredients to help diminish dark spots and pigmentation. It provides a 'brightening' effect by the antioxidant ingredients that promote the skins natural radiance. I do like this, and recommend it for someone who doesn't want something ridiculously expensive.
I know, it's a lot of information at once. Personally, I've gone through the pain and agony of trying numerous creams, and currently I'm using the NARS Potent EFA Cream. I fell in love with it! Please let me know if you recommend any other brands for dry skin or if you've had experience with these moisturizers!
Love this! :) good job gf!
