Bright-eyed Beauty!

Ladies, I've consistently been bombarded with the following question: What color would look best on my eyes?

Women are always looking for the extra 'oomph' for seductive eyes.  We are always trying to make our eyes pop.  Regardless of our eye shape, there are specific colors that will make our eyes POP!  Well, guess what? Those colors we need all go back to.....the COLOR WHEEL.  Yes, there's that fantastic item we learned about in the Concealing Imperfections post.

Opposites attract.  Once again looking at the color wheel, we must pick colors that are on the opposite side of the spectrum to get the most ravishing, twinkling, brightest eyes that we've always wanted.
  • Blue eyes look best with a copper color or brown shades.
  • Green eyes. Bright and bold pinks and reds make those green irises pop. Literally every time this comes to mind I honestly think of Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy from Batman.
  • Brown-eyed beauties.Greens and teals looks fabulous on those dark irises.
  • For lighter browns, like hazel and honey colored eyes, use eye shadows that are more purple or blue to bring out the golden specs in the eyes. This will totally brighten up your eyes.
I've broken it down somewhat. I know you're probably wondering- How the hell do I put these colors on without looking like clown who just busted out of the circus ring? Remember you can do this in a subtle way so you won't like a mad woman, or we can go dramatic and try a smoky eye look. I'm currently attempting and hopefully will create a video on 'How to create a smoky eye'.

If you're wondering about black and shades of black- these work on everyone.  Try it out and let me know how you do with the colors. Please feel free to comment and ask for advice or tips. Have a good weekend!

  1. Hey Jasmine,

A buddy from work (Toyota) asked me to check this out and I just wanted to say it's a great concept for a blog, and love the ideas you are presenting on here. I have blue eyes and haven't really considered brown shades so I will def have to try it out.

Looking forward to seeing the smoking eye look; keep the good vibes coming!
